When I bought my house there were two wood burning stoves, one free-standing one which worked very well and the other installed in the fireplace which did not work at all well.
We removed the inefficient one and had a 12 kW Brondi pellet stove put in and it’s great! Apart from heating well, I find it safer, cleaner, easier to clean and conveniently in bags!
I wouldn’t be without it now. Well worth the money.

I have just noticed something in the original post about bonding with chemicals. As far as I know pellets are not stuck together in any way.
I am only guessing here but I think in the specifications for Grade A1 pellets there would be something about glueing them together. Everything else like size and moisture content is set out. I would suggest that burning things with a bonding agent on is not to be recommended.
That's my best guess.
