Has anyone got recent experience of moving their furniture and household items to Spain? We have a house in Moraira and plan to move out permanently in next couple of months. We have NLV appointment at embassy next week. All our household items are packed up and we have kept an inventory list and marked up boxes along the lines of lamps various, crockery, books, ornaments etc. We are being advised that every item has to be listed on the inventory for customs together with value, and that without a TIE we will need to pay duty which we could reclaim later when we do have TIE. All this is obviously doable but seems very unnecessary to itemise ladles x2, forks x 6, adjustable spanner, pliers etc. Any experience or advice welcome. Thanks

We are moving in October and asked a similar question.

We are still finding it confusing.

We have a declaration form which im happy to send to you to which we will attach the list of things we ate taking with us.

I will mark up the boxes with numbers and also tape a copy of each list to the corresponding box.

We are self driving which Im assuming you are too otherwise your removal company should be able to advise you.

Thanks. We are using a removal company but its their advice around counting the spoons that I'm questioning. We have a fair bit of stuff coming over, all packed, boxes numbered with contents marked on boxes e.g. Box 1 - crockery. Box 2 - lamps. We're told that is insufficiently detailed which if correct (and it may well be) is quite mind boggling since we're also proving residency to avoid taxes.

I used movers international in Murcia and it was very simple with them, just put on box eg kitchen items and that was enough hope this helps your nightmares
