Good morning, I would be grateful if anyone can advise whether you can get to Valencia centre by train or bus for a day trip ? Many thanks.

Trains every half hour from Gandia to Valencia. It takes about an hour, just over 11€ return.

The bus station in Valencia is a bit off the centre which on the other hand is not the ideal place for shopping (Arena, Nuevo Centro, and Saler are better). Anyway, 1 day is probably insufficient to get a good overview.

While there are plenty of trains from Gandia to Valencia, there are only 6 buses a day from Oliva to Gandia station and vice versa... and they generally run late. First of the day is 8:15, and the next isn't until 11:05. Last bus returning to Oliva is at 18:40. There are no buses Sat or Sun. For the sheer convenience, a taxi to Gandia and back is advised

Edit: My 100th post... Yay to me ;D
