We’ve purchased a town house in oliva that needs to be fully reformed. Has any one used an architect to do something similar? We’ve never used an architect and don’t know how it really works, how much interior design help they give, how easy they are to work with etc etc. Any advice, names or experiences would be very gratefully received. Thanks

I used a local architect for a partial reform of my house.
He was very helpful, explaining how my ideas would need to be adapted to comply particularly with Valencian Community laws.
They prepare the project including drawings, which are necessary, and liaise with the council. Their help will be technically required but their knowledge and advice is invaluable.
I imagine that most will speak English, mine did fluently.
I would suggest that you prepare a briefing of what you have and what you want to achieve, then speak to a few locally and see what they say and who you feel comfortable with.

we are having an apartment built in Oliva by a local architect in Oliva his name is Carles Navarro, I cannot recommend them highly enough, they are a young local company who work and live in Oliva, we stumbled across them by chance, they have been very accommodating and extremely professional.
