Hi, can anyone help, I'm having a lot of problems working out how to pay a traffic fine I have just received from a company called DGT when I was in Spain, I'm back in the UK now but can't see how to pay it, can anyone help please?

If you reside in another country and have received a fine, you have the possibility of paying the fine through bank transfer. The bank details to make the transfer are indicated in the notification of the fine. The bank account indicated in the notification is ONLY used for the payment of that fine.

If you do not reside in Spain and have received a sanction, you can pay this via bank transfer directly to the DGT.

IBAN: ES11 2100 5731 710200203821

SWIFT / BIC: CAIXESBB or CAIXESBBXXX

Tax Identification Number (CIF): Q2816003D

Account name: Central Traffic Headquarters - Foreign Sanctions.

You need to make sure that you include the sanction/fine identification number as the reference. It is important to get this right otherwise the fine will be considered unpaid.

Hi Paul,

Just for info, the DGT isn't a company, it stands for Dirección General de Tráfico, the national traffic authority of the Guardia Civil police.

Kind regards,

Kim
