I ought a new 1 a d2€ coin meter off ebay. (£130)  had local e glish sparmy fit jt 40€. Bezt thing ever...its not wired for air con...but tbe whole apartment so we literally know wbere we (a d guests ) are up to.

Sorry I no longer have his number, however, if you are on fb and join some of the local fb sites there will be plenty of recommendations on there.  I set mine to the same usage that the electricity company charge.....so no profiteering, I merely get what I use.....it makes guests think twice too ;)

Just be aware that Air Conditioning units sometimes don't like the power just suddenly being switched off and require the units to be reset.

Linkwater...I have two AC units and for the last few years I always turn the power off when back in the Uk and obviously back on when holidaying or my guest visit...not had a problem at all with anything (shhhhhhhhh)

It is ad-hoc and strangely the fix is usually to power them down and up again. However, some like Samsung in particular need a code to enter.for a reset.
