It will cost you to withdraw £'s in the UK from your Spanish account, If you use an online transfer company (I use hifx) it won't cost a penny to transfer to or from your accounts.

At the moment I send £750 to Sabadell every month on the 1st, then on the 10th I send some back to my English account if needed, if it's not needed I leave it there for spending money when we go out to visit.

Thanks Cat, coming over in a few weeks so will visit nearest branch. Have viewed them online and they look ok, easy to operate online too. Thanks

Pauline.

The staff in my local branch are really friendly and efficient and I can e-mail my manager direct if I wish but mostly I don't go into the branch other than to use the ATM.

I have been reading up on opening up a bank account and I'm quite worried as there doesn't seem to be very good reviews between 2 banks recommend by my lawyer as I'm about to transfer money through currencies direct (who are great, I've used them before) to purchase a property, so no mortgage inv...

Appreciate your advice.

I find Sabadell bank fees high compared with others

We use Sabadell, after really bad experiences with santandar we moved & haven't had any problems at all. As an aside, Sabadell now own TSB in the UK.

The landing fees apply if transferring more than 50k normally, just split the transfer into two parts.

Tip works for us: 😉

For the last 3 years, we just transfer from Halifax in UK to Sabadell Key account, on the 20th of each month. Then about 1 week later we transfer back to the Halifax in UK 😁

No fees ever applied to my account nor have they ever pulled me up on it.

Good luck

Anna2016, I too am with Halifax, dont you get charged by Halifax to transfer to international bank(do you have a standing order or just transfer online), and do you just transfer back online each month or have you set up a standing order with Sabadell? Also dont Sabadell charge for transfer? I didnt know you could transfer back to Uk and how do the exchange rates differ?.I was originally with Halifax.es and did transfer but I could always get a better rate with currency companies.I am interrested .
