Hi

On my wife's latest pharmacia receipt, the following has been printed at the bottom;

Atencion un tratamiento cronico esta a punto de finalizar 21/07/2023

Can anyone tells us what this refers to please?

She has had her full SIP card for four years

Many thanks

Bill

It literally means "attention a chronic treatment is about to end 21/07/23".

If it was on a receipt from your pharmacy, it sounds to me like her prescription for a long term condition is due to end on that date. Does that sound right? Ask your pharmacist what it means and what medicine it refers to.

In Spain it's usual for items that would remain permanently on repeat in the UK to require a renewal. This can often be done by a phone call to the medical centre or a personal visit there to the reception desk. Usually it doesn't require a visit to the doctor.

I would make an appointment to see your doctor before it expires.

My GP will not issue a repeat prescription until she has seen the results of your annual blood and urine tests.
