Good evening all. As I’ve said, we are moving over this year. I always knew it would be a bit difficult for one of our lads to leave his mates. He’s nearly 15, nice popular lad, into his BMX stunts, gaming(🙄) etc.

He’s learning Spanish slowly, but making an effort. But I know he’s worried about the move, which is natural. The other day I said there will be loads of people your age out there, and he would soon make friends. Then I realised I’m talking rubbish and I don’t know if there are any kids his age out there!

I’m sure he will make Spanish friends in time, but was just wondering if anyone had any kids around the same age in Pinoso?

Thanks in advance

Danny

I'd think twice. He will have a bad time and most probably blame you for the consequences. Sorry to say this, but I know from some similar cases.

Hi Danny

Is your son attending school out there? If so he’ll make lots of friends there!

He will eventually Gill. He’s slowly learning spanish here, but with school I didn’t want to put him under too much pressure. When we move out there I will get the kids Spanish lessons so he can catch up. He already has a job in Spain when he’s 16, so he won’t even be at school that long, but your right, it would be the best place to meet people.

Iam sure he’ll make friends and although daunting once he starts school he will get straight into Spainish life! Good luck with your move!

Hi Danny, ours plans are to move to pinoso this August aswell. We have 5 children, our son will be just 16 when we move so he will have finished schooling unless he decides to stay on for "6th form" but at the moment he's considering the equivalent to an apprenticeship. We also have 4 girls, 13yr,11yr & twins at 8(will be when we move). We are lucky as all ours can not wait for the move even our son, as he says there's so many ways to keep intouch with his friends in England & there's always half terms etc for visits.

Hope all goes well

Thanks for that Gemma. I’m sure he will be fine, he makes friends very easily. And as you say, it’s so easy to keep in touch and visit.

Hope the move goes well!

Best

Hi

We are also considering a move to Pinoso.  We have 9 and 13 year old sons.  i was wondering if you could give us an update as to how you have got on with the move, are the children enjoying it and have you got employment/schools sorted?

Thanks
