Hi Danny, ours plans are to move to pinoso this August aswell. We have 5 children, our son will be just 16 when we move so he will have finished schooling unless he decides to stay on for "6th form" but at the moment he's considering the equivalent to an apprenticeship. We also have 4 girls, 13yr...

...,11yr & twins at 8(will be when we move). We are lucky as all ours can not wait for the move even our son, as he says there's so many ways to keep intouch with his friends in England & there's always half terms etc for visits.

Hope all goes well

Gemma

Hi I am reading some of the posts on here as we are thinking of making a permanent move with the family.  My son's are 13 and 9.  I wondered how you are getting on with employment and schools etc.  Am I right that you are a teacher?  I am a secondary school teacher and wondered how you have got on looking for a teaching job?

Thanks

Cara

Hi

We are also considering a move to Pinoso.  We have 9 and 13 year old sons.  i was wondering if you could give us an update as to how you have got on with the move, are the children enjoying it and have you got employment/schools sorted?

Thanks

Cara

Hi Cara

we don鈥檛 actually move over until April, so will get schools sorted out in the new year. I have my own company over here so employment isn鈥檛 a problem.

Good luck with the move!

Danny

thank you

Emma

Hi Emmalouise

we haven鈥檛 actually moved yet, due to all the delays with Covid. I鈥檓 over here but the family are joining me around August. They all can鈥檛 wait though. Good luck with your move.

Hi Danny

Please do update us when your son moves over; we moved over in October 2020 with our son who is 14 and daughter who is 8.

Our son is now nearly 15 and although he likes Spain, he's not getting on at all in the IES high school near us, made some friends but not that close so never meets up with them etc; I feel sad for him as the language is a massive barrier plus he has dyslexia, but i'm hoping to find a solution over the summer holidays for him.

I wish there was youth clubs or somewhere he could meet teens of his own age.

Our daughter however is doing great, due to her age etc.

We are in La Zenia area.

All the best, Sian

Will do Sian. It鈥檚 been a while and they will be over in August. I say they, as I am bringing 3 boys, 13,15 and 16. They other one is off to Uni!

I鈥檓 sure your lad will be fine. It takes time to adjust, and as soon as he has friends outside of school you won鈥檛 see him! 馃榿

How did your children get on? :-)

Our son is still struggling to make mates that are like minded; so really feel for him. He's super sociablle, just not the kind who wants to hang around the streets.

Such a hard age.

Many thanks

Sian

Hi Danny

How did the move go? We are relocating this august and the anxiety has set in lol. My husband is retiring from the military and our sons 18 and 25 are coming with us. They want to start a tyre and car services business (eventually)once we navigate the landscape. We may need to short term rent until house completed so still lots of spinning plates for us. I want the move for my 18 year old to be smooth he鈥檚 very quiet and I鈥檓 worried how he will settle in? 馃嚠馃嚜 Any tips?
