We discovered yesterday a couple of wasps hives in our garden.lateley we kept noticing quite a few wasps are flying around and many bees.we need to get rid of these hives ASAP.we contacted the town hall and they said that this is our responsibility to remove them as they are on a private property.they gave us a contact no of a pest control company.they quoted us a stupid quote....it's only a small hive but it's growing.has anyone experienced something similar and if so how did you deal with that please??your serious suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated.many thanks.David Ronnen 👍✅

You can buy a spray or a powder that will get rid of them, very easy.

If your not up to doing it the only option is pay someone to do it for you.

Wasp's are generally not a nuisance, unless they occupy a nest IN your property, or if they are of the hornet or asian hornet type. Wasp are very beneficial to both flora and fauna, almost as much as bees. Unless you are leaving food or drink out to attract them or if they feel their nest is under attack, wasps will not attack.

You should find a way to live with them.

Saturation spraying with RAID, don't bother with anything else, RAID beats them all hands down!

They die off naturally around December in Ireland. What is the position in Spain?  If they are not a threat to animals I would let them die off naturally. Once you see no activity from the nest you can remove it yourself but there may be a couple of Queens hibernating so best to wear suitable clothes.
