I’ve lost some golf clubs which are covered by insurance if I can get a police report. I’ve been to police in Rojales who said I was in the wrong place as they were lost in Vistabella. Was told the police station for Vistabella was Jacarilla but it appears to be closed....can anyone help?

Hi Anne, I agree that Jacarilla looks the most likely.

The Guardia Civil website shows the station as at C/ MARQUES DE FONTALBA, 1, and they're usually pretty good at keeping their website up to date. I suggest you try ringing and see if they answer the phone - 965350414.

You didn't by any chance go to the local police station instead of the Guardia?

Hello Jim, that’s the address I went to. There was a Guarda car parked outside but there was no entry. There was a sign on the door and I wish now I had copied it. I have little Spanish but the gist I got of it was it was a part time office. It gave phone numbers of other offices 🤷‍♀️

Annie, you say that you have little Spanish so I would suggest taking someone with you who can translate for you, my understanding of police stations, especially rural ones, is that English may be in very short supply!

You can do a denuncia online, giving you time to use Google Translate or DeepL until you're happy with the wording, then go to the Guardia and sign it.
