Hi,

we had alarm canvassing in my area. They appeared very forceful, we refused their offer for now, a day later in the evening we had someone press our buzzer at 20:00 in what appeared to be checking to determine if anyone was in they were trying to hide their face on the entry camera, this had never occurred before. We obviously are deeply suspicious. In the UK we are not used to these companies coming round to your property. Obviously we would not be using the company that called.

Can anyone recommend a good honest (reasonable cost) company?

Thank you.

If it is Securitas Direct, we have people supposedly from them calling at our remote villa but they never show any ID and the cars are never sign written. We have cctv and they argued "but that doesn't ring the police when they pick something up", my husband says, no, I get an alarm on my phone and I call the police!
I don't think it is anything to do with the company, I think they are casing empty houses as a couple down the bottom of our track that are rarely occupied were broken in to a few months back.

Thank you Cheryl,

much appreciated. Good on your husband as that is what we are proposing to do.
