We have just purchased a property outside Salinas, initially as a holiday home.

Is there anyone in the area who specialises in airport pickup and return journeys.

Thanks in advance.

Bob

Licensed taxi drivers specialise in that activity.

Using them will support the local economy and ensure that you aren't fined for employing unlicensed,  uninsured operators.

Absolutely,  just wondered if there was someone who had a registered business doing this.

Thanks for your reply

Hi Bob. We have a holiday home in Salinas. We bought a Spanish reg car and store it in an car park place near the airport when we are home. I have never saw a taxi in Salinas! Not sure if there are any in Sax. Let me know if there is anything else we can help with in Salinas.

Hiya Bob

We are not in Salinas but in Playa Flamenca.  We came out a couple of weeks ago and from the UK I booked Alicante Private Transfer for pick up from Alicante airport to Playa Flamenca.  We confirmed the number of people, luggage etc and received a prompt reply for £70. Our flight was a bit delayed but we arrived in Alicante to a very clear notice with my name and a very nice driver.  He was attentive and made sure we were comfortable.  I travelled with my 90 year old mum, 2 children, one with special needs, a wheelchair, oxygen monitor and a host of baggage.  It was well worth it and I am booking them for the return journey home.

Good Luck and happy holidays!!  It is lovely - we are out for a month!

Hi Bob, I take it you mean Salinas near Sax and not San Miguel de Salinas?

Thanks for your reply.

I have a friend who has a property in Torrevieja and does this, so may be a sensible option.

Best regards

Thanks Marilyn,

We have the same type of difficulty as my wife is in a wheelchair at the moment, so something a bit special transport wise would be good. Looking like mid October which gives time to contact some possibles.

Best regards

Bob

I also used Special Assistance (had no choice really) and they were brilliant from start to finish.  We sent the wheelchair down in the hold and my mum used an airport wheelchair which meant we could put a case underneath the chair.  We breezed through and although we got to the airport early for any last minute hitches we still had time to sit down for a meal and and chill!  I hope it is as good on the return.  Good Luck!
