Hi can anyone help me ..I have just been to San Juan Town Hall to pay my car taxes and I was met instantly by hostility by a member of staff ..others around her said nothing as she berating me for my lack of Spanish and telling me I need a translater all in perfect English!!! Another guy tried to help me and was doing OK until this woman started again telling me I was no longer registered in Spain as a resident and started on about us leaving the EU and I have to reregister as a resident .. I ended up walking out so upset and haven't paid my car taxes

Maybe she got out of bed the wrong side,not very professional but it can happen.I always pay my car tax through the machine outside the bank and it’s quite easy once you know.No excuse but maybe she just had a run in with an entitled Brit........I think we’ve all met them.If my Spanish wasn’t up to the job I think I’d go back with a local translator and give it the full on sweetness and light,super polite and courteous.Rude people always struggle with that.
