My coping stones  surrounding the pool are stained with red rain, I have tried jet washing but it doesn't clean them.

Has any one got any ideas.

What you call red rain is just Sahara sand. It's very fine but cleans off my pool surround with no problem if I use the jetwash nozzle close up.

If it's true staining then I suggest you try a strong bleach solution or the opposite - agua fuerte, but if you use agua fuerte don't delay in rinsing it off.

Good ol; Jim... Agua fuerte works wonders, dilute....then jet wash. (the agua fuerte also helps in the pool.) the Sarharan sand stains everything. A scourer for the indentations.Wear gloves if you are proud of your nails.

Villias.

Hi Lynn,

We had some builders lay a new patio and when they'd finished they used an sulphuric acid to clean off all the excess grout, etc. They said you could get it from any Chinese supermarket, but also said there is no way you'd be able to purchase it in the UK as it was so strong. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what it was called, but we use a Google translate app on our phones when we need anything like that out of the ordinary.

Not sure if this helps?

PS. It's dilute hydrochloric acid. Not sulphuric....... But it's strong. Take care. Descale kettles, anti-calcium, unblock drains....cheap as chips ( but don't confuse eith a good malt vinegar! Villas.
