I read something a couple of days ago which suggested that antibodies in those who had recovered from CV19 were relatively short lived but were quicker to redevelop in case of a repeat infection because the immune system now had a 'blueprint' for them, maybe just a theory but it makes some sense.
There is still so much we do not know about the virus but it's looking like it's something out of the ordinary and doing a number of atypical things. Even the incubation period is outside the norms for a virus of the corona family and that, along with the incidence of totally non symptomatic sufferers, is one of the two main characteristics which are making CV19 so difficult to control and why mass testing is so crucial in the fight against it. Unfortunately I see little evidence of that taking place anywhere around these parts.
I see this morning that the mayor of Atlanta in the US, the somewhat unfortunately named Keisha Lance Bottoms, has tested positive but with zero symptoms, as a fairly high profile figure over there at the moment I wonder how many she's unwittingly passed it onto?
A lesson for us all to be vigilant and not let complacency get the better of us!
