I'm looking to move to Spain with my 2 children (age 9 & 12) and my mum, to enjoy her retirement in a nicer/warmer environment than Sheffield.

Wold San Vicente be good for us? Well a few places I've seen have been near Moralet or Boqueres. I don't want to be in the thick of town, but want to have access to things to do and not far from schools and activities for my kids. 1 property has the no. 46A bus stop outside it!

We are coming to for a first visit to check out a few places at Easter, so looking between Murcia and Valencia. But I quite like the cosmopolitan look of San Vicente. Anyone have any good or bad comments about the area please? (kids will go to state school, not International). thank you, from a Newbie.

Hi Rozzymoo,

I work here and I like the town very much. Not small, not very big. City centre around church is very nice and has its character. I live at Playa San Juan at Alicante but I prefer Friday evenings after work in San Vicente as here are more locals (in contrary Playa San Juan is quite abandoned in winter and crowded with tourists in summer). However, I can´t say very much about Moralet. I passed several times through there when I went to mountains to take some hike and it appeared just too calm and too far from city for me. :)

Cheers,

Vladimir.
