When is there a market in San Vicente, please? I know the main one is on Saturdays but someone said there's one another day, can't remember if it's Tuesday or Thursday. We're moving in on a Thursday and wondered if the streets will be closed

Hi Angela,

We have a holiday home not far from San Vicente and we enjoy visiting the Saturday market there.

I've never known about a Thursday market there, but it could be new?

Good luck with your move.    San Vicente is certainly a town with improvements always ongoing and great transport links.

Regards

Maria

Hi Maria, thank you for your reply. I'm very much looking forward to living in San Vicente, it looks a lovely town. We've changed our removal to a Friday now, just in case. We've seen where the Saturday market goes, it certainly looks like it's a big one and stays on longer than other markets do too.

Regards

Angela

Exciting times for you Angela.

We will be back to our apartment in September and perhaps we could meet up for a coffee at some point.

Yes the market runs along the streets behind a lovely Church where a wedding takes place most Saturdays.  Just part of the lovely family atmosphere with people having breakfast after attending either the outdoor or permanent indoor market nearby.

The actual market is not very big really but has most of the usual market fare!   The main street shops in San Vicente have a good variety of any item for sale as you will find out.   Very busy fruit and vegetable stands at the market.

You may know about the tram stop which will connect you to city and other towns.

The 24 bus will take you into Alicante city and will stop at El Corte Ingles, Luceros, Central market,  plus main bus and train stations.     Very frequent service.

Best wishes

Maria :)
