Hi we have stayed at this Hotel 4 times previously but their website now says permanently closed, can anyone please shed some light on this?

Is this Hotel likely to reopen at some time?

Thanks in advance for any information.

The hotel is owned by the state.  Anybody who wants to take out a lease can do so, but  all the money necessary to bring it up to opening standard is borne by the lessee, and conveys no ownership rights.  Nobody is willing to spend that sort of money with no guarantees.
