Best place to live for a young(ish) woman

Hi, 

I'm 42 but very young at heart. Currently living in Malta which is very vibrant. I really want to move to the Costa Blanca but the more I read the more I'm unsure of which area would be best. Santa Pola seems to have everything I want with regards to beach, old town etc but I'm worried it might be too quiet in winter. I work from home so need to be able to socialise in the evening. 

I'm open to suggestions so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Depends on what you really want?

The only lively place that is Spainish with a nightlife would be Alicante which has everything!

Villamartin is very British and not many if any Spainish!

Santa Pola is def more Spainish but does become a ghost town in the winter months.

Many places up and down the coast are very European with British,Irish,Scandinavia’s etc and May have clubs/ society to join etc.

If you can I would maybe suggest you rent for a few months to see what area suits your needs and to get a truly personal take on what you want etc?

I am intending to rent but not mad keen on moving around a lot if I can help it. 

I definitely wanted somewhere more Spanish than English, it's already a bit that way in Malta! 

Thanks for your advice, I think I will try to visit over Christmas this year so I can get a fell for a few places out of season,

The best town south of Alicante is Santa Pola. Rent in the town centre so that everything is on your doorstep, and mix in with the locals to get to know the year round scene . .
