I keep hearing you must pay a fee of 10€ before taking your papers to the national police station, but the closest I've gotten to knowing where is "the indicated bank" although I've no idea where that bank would be indicated. Can you go to just any bank or are there only specific ones that do this and if so which ones? (specifically in Santa Pola or Elche)

You take the form 790 code 012 to your bank and pay through the account either via the ATM or at the counter.

If it is not your bank you take the form and pay cash.

When you complete the 790, it will tell you how much it is. There are several posts on here on how to complete the 790 012 for the NE.

Here's one recent thread

790 012

You then take the stamped receipt from the bank to your appointment.

In Santa pola , I’d go to your usual bank .  They should do it no drama .  BBVA   & Bank inter at the square will do it but only in certain hours  if you don’t have an account with them.  Unless they’ve changed rules of course
