Predictably,  Umair Haque: (?), found a financial happy medium.

You may disagree with the writer's conclusions but not to read the article is to bury one's head in the sand.

Interesting and worth a read.

Thanks

So much sour remainer tosh. I live here and I prosper.  My family in the UK also prosper.  Times are tough nevertheless world-wide and we all gave to adapt. Spain's prices have inflated but the government has introduced special pricing-ceiling measures, much to their credit.  Good for them.  I trust the UK to emerge from the current situation much like any other country. Its across the planet, but remainers are sooo bitter they can't help themselves but to be totally negative of fellow or former citizens.  Cheer up and get on with it - that's what our forebears did. That's why we have the luxury of comment - unlike Russia, China, North Korea or any other dictatorship (disguised of course).

Thank you for sharing....I have read it....I have also read the responses. As I live in the UK I see the consequences of political decisions. It is a shit time for millions here. Unlike those of us privileged to have escaped or have homes in Spain, their suffering is terrible. I have my political views but I cannot deny that I am one of the lucky ones.

I clicked on the link but it didn’t work, but I read the responses and I feel I must take issue with the person who thinks that Brits who live in Spain are “privileged “. I’d say that in my experience 99.9% of British people who I have met are here due to hard work . They are not lucky or privileged to be here - they’ve earned every drop of sunshine 😊

I started to read the article and after a short time decided to through it aside.  No comparison is given when he suggests that after leaving the EU the cost of living rose by 16%.  No mention of the increase experienced in the EU.   What a nonsense.  Start by taking a look at the massive affect COVID 19 had on our economy not forgetting the financial cost.  I believe people should stop trying to place blame, it’s time for action.  We must move forward in life. There’s no room for constantly looking back. Yes, sometimes we can learn by our mistakes but other than that,we must make changes and move with the times.

If we listened to all the claptrap spouted,we’d end up raving lunatics.

By nature, I’m  a positive person.  There’s no room for negative thinking,it doesn’t do us any good.  We must rise to any challenges life throws at us and walk tall.

He's not a medium; Medium is the patform on which he writes.

Reading things that you disagree with is a good way of broadening your perspective. It’s bound to help in seeing both sides of an issue.

I wish today's 'safe space' university's shared your view. They don't. Hence woke nonsense permeating all society. Unstoppable. Sad.
