Reading things that you disagree with is a good way of broadening your perspective. It’s bound to help in seeing both sides of an issue.

With you I agree. I am not sure if the poster read "through" it herself, or merely "threw" it aside, before condemning it as "clap-trap". V

Hello

I dont live in the UK & have no  discernible interest/feelings  about UK politics --except embarrassment. My head is definitely buried........

Please don't tell me to read anything else. Just the usual biased journalist tripe . I'll work out for myself what's good or not .

You may disagree with the writer's conclusions but not to read the article is to bury one's head in the sand.

What a load of rubbish have a look at some of the other European countries .Italy, Germany,  Spain they have all got problems.nothing to do with brexit.

All the EU does is create more politicians to climb aboard the gravy train.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

My other half is Danish and I've spent a lot of my time there and I can assure you there is no desire to leave the EU, the OBR has stated that Brexit has hit the UK economy by 4% and that will be year on year, the hit from the pandemic was just 2%, significant but half the impact of brexit.

The UK has signed 70 trade deals since leaving the EU, however all but 2 of them were existing deals which we already had in place through our EU membership, the trade deals with Aus and NZ are worth something like 0.08% to our economy and are stacked heavily in favour of Aus and NZ, so much that one of the NZ negotiators said they couldn't believe what we agreed to, both deals will heavily impact on UK farmers as they are not competing on a level playing field.

The EU is the world's most successful trading block and leaving has obviously impacted us adversely.
