It's still a privilege and I'm similarly privileged, I worked from the age of 15 to 65 for the privilege but some haven't had the opportunities, younger people don't have the pensions we had, they haven't got the cheap houses and since 2020 it's far more difficult for people to come over.

...beral socialist" quandary,how to assert independence without offending anyone trying to take advantage,and therefore we have the France inspired ,Illegal immigrant ( Official/ unofficial EU policy?)  of accepting their "quota"  and then passing them through to the NGO people traffickers in Calais ,win win for France,preening and advocating accepting illegals but actually accepting few as It is the UK that ends up as the final shipping destination).

Britain is a welcoming society,the limit of that is fast approaching its limit as the never ending EU propaganda about how UK is faring badly ,seems to increase as each day goes by of late. What is needed is a rise in British Nationalism to put British interests first ,once this starts you will see Britain being attacked from all quarters by beaurocrats of our nearest neighbors as being " unacceptable".Britain alone is a formidable adversary once the hangover from EU liberalism's dispensed with.( The Nationalism of Ireland ,Italy,Hungary, Scotland,Wales,any Eastern European EU country and France.).wil of course be a non topic.
