I own a roof top quad apartment in Torrevieja.  My best friend checks on my apartment every few weeks. Last week she went and found a dog upstairs on the next door neighbours roof top solarium.  It was 37 degrees and the dog had no shade or water.   My friend went to ask the owners to bring the dog inside and the refused.  They said they didn’t care about the dog.  I have contacted a dog rescue charity in Torrevieja and they have been to the house.  Again the owners are refusing to do anything. Please can someone help this dog.   I am willing to pay anything to get this dog taken care of.   There must be something that can be done.

I’m sure the Guardia can do something. Hopefully one of the forum members (Jim, RayD, Kimmy11, Cheryl) will be able to flesh this out a bit

To not want the dog is bad enough. To deny it water, shade or assistance is another. Disgraceful 🤪🥂

Hi Marie,

The mentality of some people beggars belief.  

It's a criminal offence in Spain to deny an animal adequate shelter, water and food.  I would report this to Seprona, the section of the Guardia Civil which deals with, amongst others things, animal cruelty.  Here's an explanation of the process:
