Out and about with a dog

Hello! We are coming out to Torrevieja for a 3 month stay with our Cockapoo Lily. We are staying in the Los Limonar/El Chapperrell area. I know we are close to the salt lakes for walking but was wondering what dog friendly beaches there are on this coast. Also are dogs allowed on the buses for when we want to get out and about and not use the car. Are there many dog friendly bars, cafes in the area. Any info and tips will be gratefully received.

Får hundar följa med på linjebussarna i stan i torrevieja? Jag hörde att det var förbjudet.

You have added to a three year old post! Also not many of us speak Swedish, so you’re more likely to elicit a response if you translate your question before posting.

The answer depends on the size of your dog. If it’s a small breed secured in a pet carrier, then yes, it may travel on the bus with you. Larger breeds are not permitted.

There is a dog beach near Punta Prima, the town beaches do not permit dogs. However, dogs appear to be welcomed at outdoor bar terraces, the proprietors even providing bowls and water for them.
