Hoping someone can advise on this, please ...

Does anyone know if these wretched things are still out at night? We have so many pine trees around us, it’s practically impossible to walk anywhere without encountering pines. In the daytime, I can keep a needy eye out ahead and walk our 9m old puppy on a short lead, but when we take her out for her last walk, it’s after dark and impossible to see what we’re walking on.

Also, does anyone know if there’s an animal hospital or 24hr vet in or around Torrevieja please?  Many thanks

Hi Jill,

The processionary caterpillars leave the nest at night to feed on the tree, so you may come across them at that time:

I can't help with a specific vet in your area, but the vet where we take our woof has 'out of hours' procedures, so probably best to check with your usual vet.

Kind regards,

Kim
