Not that many I don't think and they can generally be persuaded. The OP is also non-resident so opening an N26 account with a Spanish IBAN may not be straightforward, particularly if they are honest about their country of residencey. If I had an Irish account with an EU IBAN I would check whether my suppliers will accept the IBAN and then look at options such as N26 if they won't.

The first question on the application is country of residence

I have an N26 account and am, at the moment, resident in  IRL.  I have had the N26 card for a few years and I find it fantastic. I saw something about being able to get a Spanish IBAN last year. Indeed, N26 had had it on a blog, (I don't now have it). In any event, I contacted N26 chat asking could I change my DE IBAN to ES. They said "No" as I was resident in IRL. I asked could I change it or can I run a 2nd N26 Card registered to my Spanish mobile? Also, "No".  

As a by the by, I have changed both my IBERDROLA bill and my BB to N26 - no problems at all. I've also just messaged AGUAMED to do the same, I could not do this online, and I don't expect it to be a problem as they are  OBLIGED under SINGLE MARKET EU regulations to accept these non-Spanish (but EU) accounts. Assuming these companies obey the law (assumptions being the operative word) they should have no issue accepting an southern  IRISH account. 

Why would I open up a discussion on the meaning of residency when I am just pointing out a question asked by N26 on their application form? Investigation of their help pages suggests their interpretation of residency is where you live. If someone wants to say they live in Spain because they have a property there and visit occasionally, that's up to them. But the logical conclusion of that is that someone on holiday might be seen as temporarily living in Spain, which would not really hold up to scrutiny - unless you are using the dictionary definitions you refer to.

I also  live in Ireland and when buying house it was set up with bankia. They used to post me statements but nothing for a year. I cant even get into my online banking and have to ring solicitors in spain to talk to them as I've tried and no body could speak English.  I haven't been to Spain in 18 months with pandemic.  Are there any N26 banks in torrevieja city as my bank was set up miles away. Could my solicitor be able to switch everything for me
