Changing banks

How easy is it to change banks in Spain if all your direct debits are with a certain bank & you want to close that account? Thanks

Very helpful member
We changed from Sabahell to Bankinter and it was pretty easy. Closed Sabadell in branch. The very helpful lady in Bankinter contacted the relevant parties (Suma, Iberola and water) when we opened the account. We then notified the Local management company for community fees and also Avatel through their office in La Zenia.
