Freesat box

Hi can anyone recommend a decent tv box that uses a very large communal satellite dish I just want the usual English channels thanks John
If you just want to watch and not record, for which you'll need two feeds from the dish anyway, then any Sky box will do the job.
Without a subscription you'll get pretty much the same bouquet of channels as with a Freesat box.
Sky boxes are not hard to come by but can be a gamble.
It just so happens though that only last week, having cancelled its subscription, I took a Sky HD+ box out of service so can personally vouch for it. If you're interested PM me.

I use a Humax box and get all the freeview channels,but I have my own 1.9m dish,don’t know if that will make a difference.

Hi did have a humax but kept on losing the channels and having to reset them eventually it stopped working thanks anyway John

A Freesat HD box (with Humax currently the best available, Manhattans being the other bout not as good as Humax), and Sky HD box are about the same size.
(But the Sky+HD box, which has a built in hard drive for recording with a subscription is larger than both these boxes)
A Sky HD box, even without a Sky card, will get more free to air channels than Freesat.
But whereas a Freesat box only lists the free channels, the Sky box has bot h free and pay channels listed.
