Discounted bus ticket

Hi

A while ago there was a post about a discounted bus pass for around torrevieja can anyone tell me about it I enquired at the bus station today without any luck

The 2 links above are regarding the Tarjeta Cuidadano (Citizen card) available to everyone on the Padron for €7 and giving free travel

The card I think you mean, is the Tarjeta Bus available from the Costa Azul/Avanza office in Torrevieja Bus Station or available from the driver on the city buses, for €2 for card and €20 credit and rechargeable with €10 or €20 when needed. This card discounts the trip from €1.55 down to 60 cents, and reduces the airport bus from €7 down to €3.15

Yes you can get a bus ticket, on the bus, just ask the driver. Put the question into your phone and change to Spanish, show him / her and ask at the same time. Request a card and then you pay 2 euros for the card and then another 20 euros to use towards each fair (you will receive a receipt with the amount paid and the new balance each time you use, keep the receipt for your next fair.

You can add as much as you want when the balance drops.

The card only lasts 3 years and then you will start again. We did have to ask about 6 different bus drivers before we got our cards, it’s better if you go to a terminus as the driver could have time before he’s / she’s due to leave so more time to sort. It’s very cheap once you have one, even the airport bus is cheaper, 3 euros 50 cents.
