Is it possible to get to Lemon tree market by Bus from Torrevieja or alternatively any idea on how much a taxi would cost? TIA

No, there are no buses on that route especially on a Sunday. Taxis would be 18 to 20  euro each way. Maybe more  on Sundays.

You can take a Guardamar bus and get off near the blue bridge near the Procomobel shop with the chairs stuck on the wall, then walk to the market. The bus costs around 3 euros.

Thank you very much for that.  I'll definitely give it a try. Is that the Torrevieja to Alicante bus?

Yes, you need to cross the road via the blue bridge and walk part way through the urb. until you reach the lemon tree road.
