Hi, I see that forms have to completed if flying to Spain from the UK....does anyone know if travelling (driving) from 'Schengen' countries requires anything similar? (The Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany etc). We want to drive to our house in Spain but are worried we need to provide some documentation at the Borders of the countries we pass through. We live in the Netherlands at the moment. I have looked all over the internet but can't find any info, everything relates to the forms required flying from UK. Thanks 😊

Thanks for info 🙂 I have this app already, when you view the form (which can only be sent 48 hrs prior to flying, it asks for flight details. There doesn't seem to be specific info/form for driving only - coming from 'Schengen countries.

interesting to read your post I am thinking to drive from the UK to our house in Spain (via the Eurotunnel) and also curious to know about what will happen at the English/French boarder (at Folkestone) and the Spanish boarder. So if any one out there that has recently driven through the French and Spanish boarders would be interested to hear how they got on!

We've just been informed that we don't need any paperwork driving from The Netherlands.
Just from UK paperwork required.
I'd be interested to see how anyone gets on as well. Am I assuming this is from January next year or have I misinterpreted the post?

we have a ferry booked to Bilbao from UK early Sept as we are coming to Spain with intention to retire there. We will be driving from Bilbao to Torravieja region and would be grateful if anyone could give info on route ie. services, toilets etc

We travelled by car from near Rennes(France) to Torrevieja when Spain opened the road border on the 21st June. No paperwork required. It was just like nothing had ever happened. Crossed the border through the Somport tunnel and back to normal ie didn’t even know you were crossing a border. We, like a lot of people had been waiting 3 months to get to our property and would have like some fireworks 🎆 👍😂

Hi Lindylou2, thanks for the info. Puts our minds at rest. We are driving from the Netherlands to our house in the Murcia region, were worried in case we got stopped and no paperwork on us. I contacted the Ministry of Health, but the email reply I received was misleading as it stated "Travellers who are going to enter Spain by ROAD, air or sea must complete the form on SpTH site or app, travellers entering Spain by LAND do not have to fill out the form". Confusing....... we will take some paperwork showing that we actually live in the Netherlands. Thanks again for the info..... yes fireworks would have been good lol ;-)

Why not complete the form anyway? You'll then have a QR code on your mobile that you could show if requested.
