Yes. If it's tested more than a month before it expires, then you just get an ITV valid for twelve months from the date of the test.
I'd have expected any reasonable and reputable car trader to automatically renew an ITV due to expire so near to the sale of a vehicle.
I'm afraid not doing so would oblige me to place a rather large question mark over their after sales policy and performance!

I dont care where you buy a car. You ALWAYS test thw car you are thinking to buy to another garage, better if you had experience with them, to find any problem before you buy it.
ITV is a test for security and very small mecanical problems.
I work in a garage and we found big problems in cars that clients wanted to buy.
For example ITV would not check if there is water on the oil circuit and this is a big problem. The seller always will say that they just made service and a lot of timea that is not true.
