Hi I'm wondering what effect a NO-DEAL Brexit will have on expats who currently live in Spain and are currently covered by the S1 Certificate for Healthcare ?

Will the S1 Certificate become null and void ?

I have heard that the Spanish Goverenment says 'there are contingency plans in the event of a no-deal Brexit' - to guarantee Health Care for UK Citizens in living Spain.

But I'm also hearing in order to be covered you would have to be a 'long term resident '.( which I am not ).

Is this correct ?

Assuming UK reciprocates!
