Hi Shay, we came in to Alicante on 20th September and it was surprisingly fast and well organised.  The slowest bit was check in at Stanstead.  Assuming you've had both vaccines - if you can print out your vaccine certificate, the passenger locator form and the boarding pass that will speed everything up.  When we got to arrivals at Alicante we were through in around 30 minutes.  Flying home from Alicante was also a slow process through check in but they are really well organised.

Hope this helps

Debbie

Yes I found the same. I went back to the U.K. in July and I found the U.K. end slow.

Spanish end was fine

Hi Shay,

My friend flew out from Heathrow to Alicante with BA on 23 September - he only had hand luggage, but said it was really quick on arrival.  He had printed off his documentation and said border control at Alicante gave it only a cursory glance.

Kind regards,

Kim

I flew back into Alicante last week. There was - obviously - the first queue for the Digital Passport barriers, then a set of desks where they check your locator form and vaccine status. They were checking everyone passing through when I was there.

Whether Shay makes his bus will depend on the number of flights arriving at the time his lands, length of queue at border control, (if you're first off the first bus or last off the last bus), length of time for any baggage collection, and whether there is a queue at the Covid checks desks.

Fingers crossed for you Shay!

🎊🎊. Finally...I am here...thank you all for your advice, took all notes and no problem through the journey. Checking-in at Heathrow was very quick, flight took 2hrs-5mins...., Only 1 flight landed at Alicante, first border control digital check and than 2nd booth stamped the passport as I am not residence here. From there, guided by health authority..I suppose,  to get the locator form ready with barcode, no que here as there were 4 desks open, yes, digital phone...bit of a que as some had difficulty opening the document on phone ..I had printed copy so they scanned it and out.all these took appx 35mins from landing. I went to 2 nd floor for bus..guess what...not the right the place😦. While sitting there I saw a poster saying due to covid buses are departing  from -2,minus 2 floor....well...join the marathon, I told others as well who were waiting , we all just made to right place for 2pm bus😄😄I am home.......thank you all for guided tour..... I understand the bus from Torrevieja will stop at Departures inbound but then proceeds to the -2 or garage level for pick-up for  outbound journey.
