Has anyone flown with them in recent weeks ?  I am due to fly to UK 29 March and I’m sure that in the past I have got through with a boarding pass on my phone. This time they are saying they want to see a     printed copy.  That makes no sense to me and I don’t have a printer at my Spanish property.

Anybody else come across this?

Hi I’ve just been on the Ryanair website and under Boarding Cards this is what it says:

Do I need to print my boarding pass?

Ryanair recommends all passengers to either print their boarding pass prior to arriving at the airport, or to access their mobile boarding pass on their phone in order to save time and money at the airport. Customers that do not check-in before arriving at the airport are required to pay the Airport Check-in Fee of €/£55.

How did they contact you to tell you that you needed to print it?

Just asked a friend who flew home last week, she only used her boarding card on her telephone.

Hello Michael

My answer is similar to Annes regarding "they are saying..." Did you have contact with Ryanair or is it just hearsay from someone else? It looks  unlikely to be the case from the previous 2 replies but if you find anything official,  do post it on here as it will affect other people too.

Cheers

Yes indeed.

I think you only need your electronic version

on the phone. If you really wanted to be sure you could print it in a mobile phone

shop? Some allow that and they will charge for the paper like photocopying shops used to do.

Thanks everyone for your quick replies on this.  In truth I cannot find where I read about the paper boarding pass only.  Maybe I imagined it!  Anyway, I have logged in to my booking, transferred the boarding pass to my Apple Wallet on the iPhone (as normal) so that should suffice.

Now, I just need to get through the test and hope Ryanair don't pull the plug on my flight
