Hi,I land on Mon 25th Feb at 9.30 pm.I see there is a bus to Torrevieja at 10pm but this is the last one.I doubt I will get off the plane and through security and find the bus stop in half hour so if not has anyone got any ideas of getting there without a private taxi the price of which i gather is between 50 and 60 euros. There does not seem to be any transfer buses advertised maybe due to time of year. Any help would be appreciated, thanks Mark

You should make the bus in plenty of time, straight through security and go  up 1 floor on escalator behind the lifts to +2 floor on the lift, get to Costa Coffee don't cross the road just turn right to the end 30 yards and the last bus stop is Torrevieja Bus  €7pp, we have always landed around 21.25 to 21.35 from East Midlands and have never missed the 2.00 bus which is a direct bus to Torry 45 mins, this time of year is even better.

I've read in other places that sometimes you can be waiting in line for a bus but not get on it due to unruly queuing from some.  Is this a myth, or is it true.  I am only thinking of it from an English bus queue point of view were people don't try to jump the queue.  Have you ever seen instances of people trying to barge in?

That has happened when boarding the airport to Torrevieja bus - trying to get one of the afternoon buses (maybe 4:00 p.m), there were too many people to fit, the queue system broke down, and it turned into a scrum.

Hmm, not good that is it?  I can imagine the chaos with people trying to get large bags into the bus hold while also trying to get on the bus.  Sounds like a recipe for rising tempers and frustration, especially when the next bus is a couple of hours away and the same thing could happen again.

What happens though if you have pre-booked your ticket online?  Surely that should guarantee a seat?

Definitely sounds like a chaotic situation especially with some nationalities that do not understand the concept of queuing. With it being Spain it's likely that the fact you have prebooked will mean nothing.

I think I only really have two choices for this trip coming up. I have to be at my lawyer's office before they close to pick up my keys etc so it's going to have to be a private taxi or a hire car.  As I've said previously, I've had bad experiences with the rental companies (insurance rip offs) but that seems favourite at the moment - ie rent a car and hope for the best!
