DFDS ferries are running a ballot to give a million crossings to NHS workers.
If you fancy driving down through France this may be worth a try

A nice gesture and it costs them virtually nothing, in fact it'll generate some revenue in the form of food and drink sales.
I came back from the UK three weeks ago on the Portsmouth/Caen route, the boat was only about 10% full.
Thanks for sharing this Purple Gran. My daughter works on the NHS and us going to enquire about this.
