Hi,  we're coming to Torrevieja 29th March - 28th April to have a look at the different areas for possible holiday apartments to buy.

We will have a car during our stay so can anybody advise if car parking is difficult around the Calle Fragata area please?

Hi,

As Calle Fragata is in central Torrevieja it will be very difficult to find a parking space there, you're better off using one of the nearest car parks as you could be driving round for ages trying to find a space.

Good luck with your search for an apartment.  :-)

Hopefully you are successful but do not pay anything upfront, th money would be los forever. Best time for your plans are November-February.

Hi,  Thank you very much for your useful information. We are thinking now of leaving the car hire until we have been there and seen the state of play so to speak.

It is our first time to Torrevieja so would you know if most places (bars, restaurants) are open at that time of year? Particularly in the evenings.

Thanks again,

Rob and Viv.

As you're coming over the Easrer period you'll find plenty of bars and restaurants open.

You can also enjoy all the parades and entertainment that goes on over Easter :-)

Hello

Just a suggestion for your visit...On Sunday 2nd April go to  the main church square, during the morning, and watch the lovely Palm Sunday Parade. Everyone from children to the elderly  are out in there sunday best & carrying palm leaves.

The church is on Calle Ramon Gallud ( main street) and about 10-15mins walk from where Calle Fragata is.

Cheers

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Thanks for the information. We will have a look at that car park and the surrounding streets.

There is parking alongside the new Mercadona Supermarket and Guardia Civil  on Calle Antonio Machado/ Avenida Habaneras . If you are near the Avenida Habaneras end the the Bus Station will be near to you. It is on the corner where Avenida Habaneras becomes Calle Antonio Machado. You could get a bus direct from the Airport to the Bus Station

You pay for your ticket on the bus at the Airport.

Www.Torrevieja.com  is a good website for telling you whats on in Torrevieja and has the town bus routes etc

I have an apartment Calle Radio Murcia near Paseo Marítimo. I usually hire a car when I visit and always find a space might be one or two streets away or further from the beach but never paid for parking yet. A car isn’t essential in the centre and as previously stated airport link to bus station is good, but it’s so convenient to have a car for shopping trips etc. Good luck with your property search.
