Hi as Brexit has been pushed back yet again, should we do the move. Looking in this, area not to be isolated but do not want to be in the middle of everything. Would like mixed nationalities. Also as we are not due for retirement till 2021.Are we too early to do this. We have a house to sell plus savings. Hubby wants to do this I am not too sure.. Advise please if we do it sooner than later is what we need to do.

The best advice in my opinion is not to put all your eggs in one basket and, if you can possibly do it, either keep your house in UK and rent it out or sell and buy smaller in UK then rent or buy in Spain.

Renting in Spain long term could give you a good taste of what to expect and then if all works out well you could buy a property in Spain in hopefully an area you have found that suits you.

Many people do this and personally I have known a couple of families who found after renting that Spain was not for them. Just to know you have a get-out clause can give you peace of mind.

Hopefully you will love it, like many do , and decide to stay but at least you won't have burnt your bridges. Having a small property still in the UK can help in the future for when you need to go back for visits or for the Summer if you find Spain too hot for you as you get older or if health or life changes happen.

Just a few things to think about.

Good luck.
