The words electric and cheap don't belong in the same sentence in Spain! To provide any significant degree of heating, you'd need wattage of a rating that would easily lead to tripping your power supply. To provide background heat to take the chill off the air, you can get an oil filled radiator of 400 watts, but in that case you'd be much better getting a ceramic panel heater - cheaper, less bulky, and far easier to keep clean.

Hi Joyce, to add to the helpful comments provided by Jim, I would state that if you do decide on Portable Electrical heating appliances ,the Oil filled type are much safer to use due to their sealed' design and construction. One possible cause of Electrical danger inherent in 'open' Convector and Fan assisted portable heaters is the risk of accidental overheating and fire if their heating outlet vents are blocked or covered by items such as clothing or obstructed by furniture items, especially combustibles such as chairs and bedding, etc.
