Hi everyone , well finally done it , our house in Cabo Roig completes on the 29th this month.

Cant wait , question , we travel out on the 2ng August Sunday , land at 13:45 in Alicante, what time are shops open to. As we need to purchase household items , like bedding , towels , pots , pans etc , bedding being the most important . Is there any stores open. Most likely get to either Torevieja around 4pm .

Thanks

John

Last time we was in Torrevieja last year the main supermarkets and stores were all closed on Sundays. Only the 24 hr shops were open. We was caught out as the year before they were open on Sundays.

Just found this info on Google .....................................................

In Spain, closing time for many shops is 8pm, with supermarkets as well as hypermarkets like Carrefour, Eroski and Mercadona, usually staying open until 10pm. ... Sunday is Closing Time – For most shops and even the supermarkets, except the aforementioned hypermarkets, Sunday is still a day of rest so they'll be closed.

I’d imagine, it being the height of the holiday season, that Zenia Boulevard will be open, although I believe their numbers may still be limited. Is it possible you could fit a lightweight sheet into your luggage? You’re unlikely to need much more than that.

As another poster suggested bring a sheet with you and shop at leisure from Monday onwards.  la Zenia Boulevard shopping centre has Zara home , Primark, Al Campo hyper market and Campomar(?) all of which stock all the household items you are likely to need.  There are also a Yorkshire Linen and large Chino shops  just outside.

Some items can be delivered to Spain, but not all. You can go into preferences and change to Amazon Spain - the site will then be in Spanish of course.

Good luck with the move. Exciting times - enjoy. Jackie
