Looking at buying a bungalow in Torretas.

What's the neighbourhood like.  There seems to be a good mix of English and Spanish bars and shops.

How do people find it here ?

Cheers

Some parts of the Torretas suffer with flash flooding with run-off from the CV905 heading towards the lakes. I don't know the area well enough to be able to tell you which parts are the most affected but it may we worth doing some research on this, especially as you are looking at a bungalow.

It's great Stella - I think I've replied to you before - I have a pad in Toretta Florida and everything is within a 5-10mns walking distance!

 - neighbours are Norwegian, Polish, Swedish & Spanish  - all very friendly and keep an eye on each other's properties when we're not there!

 - the Fire Service and Police station is just behind us!....as well as the Haberneras and a huge Carrefour

We bought a property in Torreta 3 in 2016. Great area with everything you need around you. Bars, restaurants, shops schools all close by. 2 pools that you can visit for a small fee. Bus that goes into Torrevieja town. Local market on Friday. Good luck with your search.

As other poster has said, you need to check area for flood risk.  I was here in April for the flooding, and the CV905 was closed and areas were flooded. I was warned of the risk and bought in Chaparral instead. Bottom line. Do research.

Hi Stella!!  I have had my bungalow in Torreta 3 for 15 years and have never been flooded here.  There's not a lot of dog poo in my street either, just the odd times which sad to say you get everywhere. It's also good having restaurants/bars, shop selling all sorts and bus stop close by. I would go for it!!

Would make such a difference if the council do repairs. Love the area but it is ruined by lack of  maintenance.
