Tree info please
Good Morning all,
There is a tree at the bottom of mine and my neighbours garden to the front of the properties, it is outside our boundary garden wall area and on the so called road area as there is not any pavements and it's very close to both exterior garden boundary walls. My neighbour actually has the trunk by a few centimetres past my gatepost so it's against their outside garden wall really, they do not maintain the tree in anyway and the branches are technically out of control and are overhanging the bottom and side property dividing wall of my garden in several areas, we did trim it slightly as we couldn't open the gate properly but I have left the rest as I don't know whose it is.?? I'm assuming as it isn't in my garden or the neighbours it doesn't belong to anyone really.
I have now noticed we have a a large crack in the wall dividing our properties and also a few of my patio tiles inside the garden are a bit raised, could this be caused by the tree roots?. Does anyone know what the correct procedure is regarding getting something done about it. Or if anything can actually be done? Who should I contact? Or is it a case of doing everything yourself?We don't mind cutting the tree branches back, as the leaves are quite slippy when wet in my garden and they make an awful mess when the wind gets up. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
