Cider vinegar with mother

When I searched, Carrefour, Iceland and the central market at la plasacame up, you could also purchase from Amazon.es 

You learn something every day.  Among the ‘facts’ I found about Apple cider vinegar with mother was this one

1. Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother is found to improve Insulin resistance, a great aid in Type 2 Diabetes. A study found that when 2 tablespoonfuls are taken along with a usual high-carbohydrate meal; it reduces blood sugar and insulin by as much as 34 percent.

Why that "brand" its just cider vinegar which you can buy in all the supermarkets in Spain. The hype about consuming cider vinegar for weight loss has been around for at least 50yrs as I remember my mother using it (yuk) as a child(and I,m 70+). I use it too to keep fruit flies away from fruit and veg stored in garage and it as many other uses but don't be fooled into paying over the top for a particular brand the products are all the same. In Uk Lidl or Aldi have the best prices.

Apple cider vinegar and apple cider vinegar “with mother” are not, in fact, the same product.  The mother is filtered out from clear apple cider vinegar, and with it most of the beneficial probiotics, beneficial bacteria, etc.

Thankyou for the information, I stand corrected. I suppose it depends on the reasons for its use as to whether its worth the price.
