Can anyone advise if prescription glasses are cheaper in Spain than UK. Also can I use my english prescription in Spain.

The Specsavers stores in Habaneros, Torrevieja and La Zenia offer the same deals as the UK shops. Other opticians vary in price, as they do in the UK. There are a good selection of shops to choose from, and they would be able to use your prescription.

I used one of the 3 x Opticians in the Haberneras Shopping Mall and forgot to take my UK prescription - they said no problem we'll just copy the lens in your glasses - 3 hours later they rang to say my glasses were ready for collection - perfect spare pair for only £36
