Smog

Anybody know the reason for bad air quality. Respiratory problems, watery eyes ,chest throat cold like symptoms. Chemical smell in the polluted atmosphere.

Can’t see any air pollution, through all the genuine fog we’ve had the past three days. Perhaps it’s the damp air and the drop in temperature causing you problems. Sometimes causes a hay fever/allergy type reaction which you seem to be describing.
As a footnote I didn’t realise fogbows existed until this weekend - I must have lived a sheltered life.

Don't think any of it was chemical induced?
Have a look on the excellent weather site. Proyecto Mastral-Torrevieja.
Everything on there you'll ever need to know about Torrevieja weather events.
I use it through the Facebook search engine,but you don't have to use that.
Quite a comical site when the Spanish translation goes a bit wrong.

I too smile ( sometimes). I believe that the word "smog" was coined in the UK industrial cities yrs ago. (mixing smoke & fog). It sounds more here like a "sea-fret", so don't fret about it.🤔. V

A recent post stated there were plenty of people on the town beaches,but no one wanted to 'take a bath'

Perhaps it’s the stench coming from the Torrevieja sewage works causing your symptoms.
