As a Tourist Licence is now a legal requirement for holiday lets, wherever you find a place, please ensure it has this otherwise your holiday could be rudely interrupted by the police.

These sites all insist on a current tourist license

www.spain-holiday.com

www.homeaway.co.uk

www.holidayhomesdirect.ie

www.propertiesandvillasinspain.com (forums own site but no availability calendars)

www.holidaylettings.co.uk (but be careful of booking fees)

and one I haven't yet checked out myself www.theholidaylet.com

Both airbnb and booking .com still have illegal lets listed, so double check for a license if you decide to use them.  (I know someone who was caught out by the latter a couple of months ago.)  "License in progress" means it hasn't got one!  Remember if it is not a legal let then there is no insurance on the property either, no standard minimum equipment and you could even be forcibly removed if someone complains.
